The Sebring LXi's luxury bias is especially appreciated inside the attractive cabin. Warm faux woodgrain accents the center console and door panels, while the remainder of the cockpit is comprised of fairly good quality plastics. The gauge package and dash layout is purposefully designed with driving in mind. Five large, round vents feed ventilation throughout the interior, so you won't lack for oxygen while you work up a sweat during an enthusiastic stint behind the wheel. The HVAC controls are easy to use, but look as though they were a design after thought, retrofitted by an aftermarket supplier. The rectangular unit just doesn't integrate well with the curvaceous dash design. That said, what does look good and sound even better is the Sebring's audio system, complete with a 4-disc in-dash CD player, cassette and AM/FM radio. However, to adjust the audio system you will need to take your eyes off of the road and use the traditional dash mounted controls, as no steering wheel audio (or cruise control) buttons exist.

Leather adds to the luxury appeal of the LXi, with the seats comfortable and supportive. The usual power controls are present, but the Sebring omits a power recline option, instead offering a manual control for this task. What's more, there are no heated seats! This is an outrage! There are few things worse than placing my posterior on cold leather seats during the winter season. All attempts at humor aside, this is a feature that has become almost as commonplace as cupholders, especially in the entry-level luxury class. There is plenty of leg and headroom for driver and passengers (even in the 60/40 split folding back seats) but ingress and egress is not for the faint of heart, especially when venturing into the rear quarters. The low roofline, while attractive, makes ducking necessary when getting in. Don't even try to squeeze a rear-facing infant seat into the back seat. If you must, make sure you pre-book a chiropractic appointment.
