As I mentioned previously the Silhouette is more up-market than the racy Montana or blue-collar Venture, leaving a lineup opportunity that may be hard for GM to pass up when the thirteen year old model is sent out to pasture. Will a new Silhouette based Buick minivan be far behind the Oldsmobile Bravada turned Buick Rainier? It makes sense but thus far no press release has hit my inbox.
Until such time the Oldsmobile is GM's top minivan, offering distinctive styling, luxurious creature comforts and a smooth ride for up to seven. While resale value might not bode as well for this outgoing model, the discounts you can most likely get at purchase and GM's aggressive financing incentives should make up for it.
