2008 Ford Focus (VIDEO)

Ford presented its redesigned Focus to the media today, including a new two-door coupe model.

Incorporating Ford's edgy styling cues, the Focus gets new sheetmetal with sharp creases and a chrome grille. The cockpit is also redesigned, with a modern-looking, silver-accented dashboard.

Among other changes, the suspension setup has been revised for improved driving dynamics, the weight of the car has been lowered by about 27 kilograms (60 pounds), as well as improvements in noise, vibration and harshness.

Sadly, the practical hatchback models will be discontinued after the 2007 model year, as Ford says that 80 percent of the compact market is composed of four-door sedans and two-door coupes.
