Perana, a South-African company specialized in sports car and classic car restoration, presented the magnificent Z-one at the Los Angeles auto show, which marries Italian style with American muscle.

The sports car is equipped with a 6.2-litre V8 borrowed from a Corvette, which develops 442 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque, good for 0 to 100 km/h times under 4 seconds. The Z-one is built on a steel tube space frame and features a body made from vinyl-ester composite, Eibach springs, Bilstein shocks as well as 18-inch alloy wheels up front and 19-inchers at the rear.

What draws the most attention on the Z-one is without a doubt its design. Penned by Zagato, a reknown firm that has worked with some of the most recognized luxury brands in the world, the agressive front end and aerodynamic lines elevate the car in the stratospheres as Ferrari, Maserati and Aston Martin. The two-seater Z-one will be produced in 999 copies and will be sold in Africa, USA and the UK.
