More Flair
Jeep’s ultimate off-road ride, the Wrangler, sports a redesigned cabin for 2011. It graces the 2-door Wrangler and 4-door Unlimited models.

No area on the planet is too hostile for the Wrangler, and it remains a favourite of both off-road enthusiasts and buyers simply looking for a car that will set them apart. Buyers who may have considered the Toyota FJ Cruiser, Nissan Xterra or Suzuki Grand Vitara as an alternative to the 2- and 4-door Wrangler.

A stylish cabin
The first thing you notice inside the tall 4x4 is the brand-new dash board. Its modern looks are a far cry from the rusticity typical of the Wrangler since 2007. Die-hard 4x4 fans may even find it a little too stylish.

Clearly designed to cater to all those city slickers buying Wranglers, the new dash uses better quality materials and is highlighted by a few choice pieces of trim.

A small storage compartment, perched high up on the dash, has appeared on this 2011 model. Although it allows you to stash small items, it also exposes them to prying eyes...

The controls for the windows and air conditioning system are still in the middle of the dash. However, they now consist of more user-friendly dials.

The locking centre console and the armrests on the doors are covered in a soft-touch material. Wrangler aficionados will also be happy to discover new inside door handles, distinctly easier to use than those of the 2010 models.

Fabric and leather-trimmed heated seats are also available. Not bad for a rustic marauder capable of taking you to the ends of the earth! The driver can also benefit from heated, power rear-view mirrors.
