Still the only minivan in Canada with available AWD

No, minivans are not dead yet. Despite the invasion of SUVs and crossovers, they continue to attract a number of Canadian families. And by adding more connectivity and safety features this year, the 2018 Toyota Sienna is better positioned to serve their needs.

Depending on the model, look for a new 8” display, 120V accessory power outlet and Birds Eye View Monitor system.

For 2018, all Sienna models come standard with the Entune suite of advanced in-vehicle connectivity services as well as Toyota Safety Sense P. The former includes Entune App Suite Connect (access to traffic information, weather, Slacker, Yelp, sports and stock market results, fuel prices and more) and Scout GPS Link (smartphone-based navigation tools). Select trim levels also add Entune Safety Connect (automatic collision notification, stolen vehicle locator, emergency assistance button and enhanced roadside assistance).

As for Toyota Safety Sense P, this bundle of active safety features incorporates Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection, Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, Automatic High Beams, and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control. Speaking of safety, don’t forget that the Toyota Sienna is still the only minivan in the country with available all-wheel drive—a definite advantage over the new Chrysler Pacifica and Honda Odyssey.

The interior of the 2018 Toyota Sienna can fit seven or eight people—with prices starting at $34,690 and $38,090, respectively—while the 3.5L V6 engine under the hood produces nearly 300 horsepower (296 to be exact) via an 8-speed automatic transmission.
