There were two other cars, which captivated my attention also, and those were the yellow Corvettes. Trust me, those cars are super quick! In fact, watching them battle each other around the course was one of the highlights of the day.
It's as if each individual make of car had its own particular characteristics, and that is something that you really don't see when you view it on television. The Corvettes were phenomenally fast yet appeared a little skittery in the corners. The Aston's appeared rather heavy to me on the twisty bits, and the Ferrari's, well, they won the exhaust note sound off by a mile!
After a while, you could almost tell what was coming by the sound alone, and you simply can't experience that anywhere else but trackside!
Honestly, I could go on and on about my day at the races but unfortunately my editor said "no more mega long articles", so I'll have to wind it up here!
Take my advice, and mark your calendars, because you simply have to attend when the series returns to Mosport Park again. I know that I'll be there, that's for sure! So if you do and you happen to pass my tent, drop in for a cold one. I'll always have one on hand for a fellow race fan (oh yes, I'm definitely one of them now!).
