From the American Le Mans Series
The American Le Mans Series have placed its LMP and GT season champions on the 2010 American Auto Racing Writers and Broadcasters All-America first team.
Patrón Highcroft’s David Brabham and Simon Pagenaud won the ALMS LMP championship, earning first team honors in the AAWRBA Road Racing category alongside Grand-Am champions Scott Pruett and Memo Rojas. It is Brabham’s fifth All-American selection and Pagenaud’s first.
The Flying Lizard duo of Patrick Long and Joerg Bergmeister, meanwhile, earned first team At Large honors for winning their second consecutive GT title. It was Bergmeister’s fifth ALMS championship and Long’s third. Bergmeister has now won four AARWBA All-America honors. The distinction was Long’s second.
All four drivers will be honored January 9 in Indianapolis at the annual AARWBA awards banquet.
