Maserati's stunning Quattroporte Sport GT S was on hand at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) for viewing. It left those in attendance with an almost uniform impression that they were looking at something that would wind up in the history books. Some even called it the most beautiful four-door on the road.
With its exclusive styling and Italian heritage, it's clear that this machine's got a little something special. Maserati says the Quattroporte Sport GT S is the most capable luxury performance four-door they've ever made.
Fans noticed several distinct styling elements that set the GT S apart, while the front was capped off by the brand's concave grille treatment and trident badge. New wheels are bolted onto a suspension that's lowered and stiffened to bring out the Quattroporte's sporty and dynamic side to performance-minded buyers.
Shoppers can expect an interior with various updates and new materials as well.
Maserati's 4.7-litre V8 engine is on duty under the hood, cranking out 439 horsepower at 7,200 rpm. Output is handled by a recalibrated six-speed transmission, and the engine breathes out through a pneumatically-activated variable exhaust system for maximum performance and sound effects.
