As of October 2, visitors of the Mondial de l'Automobile de Paris will be able to admire Honda's Insight concept. It's a 5-door hybrid that looks very similar to the Toyota Prius, its future rival.
Extremely versatile, the Insight also integrates the most recent hybrid technologies. It was designed with day-to-day use in mind; 5 passengers will be very comfortably seated, and thanks to rear fold-down seats and a tailgate, it'll offer a lot of cargo space. Honda managed to considerably reduce the production costs for the Insight, thanks namely to the Japanese manufacturer's new-generation Integrated Motor Assist (IMA) technology. According to Honda, it'll cost less than any hybrid currently on the market. The Insight will be available in the United-States in the summer of 2009. Photos: Honda
