Following some discussions about the old glory and historically significant Chrysler vehicles of the past, HPP decided to morph a Dodge Challenger into a Daytona/Superbird tribute car.
After a lot of brainstormings, measurings, design drawings, HPP approved the final sketches, presented them to Mopar and planed quotations to build one car. An interpretation of the "new" Dodge Daytona was then displayed at the 2009 SEMA show.
Over than 50 product changes, designed and produced by HPP and its partner companies, are applied to the Dodge Challenger to become a Dodge Daytona.
Exterior, interior, performance, everything has been customized on the Dodge Daytona. A Supercharged 5.7 L V-8 engine (600 horsepower), adjustable suspensions lowering the vehicle by 3.5", front Daytona / Superbird nose, new aluminium hood, custom hood fender vents, rear fascia with side exit exhaust, new rear tail lights and center Daytona bezel. Regarding the interior, custom shifter and shift knob, seat inserts and logos, custom black face gauges, with chrome bezels and pointers, etc.
HPP will soon offer full vehicle conversions to individual customers and dealers for around $40,000.
