As you know, FCA created massive hype in the months leading up to the launch of the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon at the New York Auto Show. After finally seeing this infernal beast and learning that it produces as much as 840 horsepower, the questions on everyone’s lips were “How many units” and “What price?” Now we have all the answers…

Production of the Challenger SRT Demon will be limited to 3,300 units, 300 of which will be allocated to the Canadian market. They will go on sale this fall starting at $109,995.

That’s a bit less expensive than the late Dodge Viper, yet buyers will drive home with the most explosive and fastest muscle car of all time, capable of sprinting from 0-60 mi/h (97 km/h) in just 2.3 seconds and completing the quarter mile in a blistering 9.65 seconds—too quick for the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA), which has officially banned the car from drag strips.

You must also know that the optional front passenger seat and rear seat (only the driver’s seat is standard in the Demon) can be added for a symbolic price of $1 each.

Our contributor Benjamin Hunting is currently at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway to test drive the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon (and the 2018 Dodge Durango SRT), so check back soon for his driving impressions.
