Exterior styling
The Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Ron Fellows Edition features a unique Arctic White bodywork that creates an exquisite blend of sophistication and sportiness. The car's presence and elegance are enhanced by front and rear air intakes and chrome wheels. But there are many other distinctive touches that give this Corvette a racy appearance, like a neatly integrated, full-width racing spoiler and dark red fender stripes that are reminiscent of the victorious GT1 car. Those stripes bear Fellows' autograph along with callouts for the championship years when he was at the wheel. A red maple leaf is even incorporated into the graphics. Actually, the design of the Corvette Z06 Ron Fellows Edition mirrors the Canadian flag.
Tech-inspired cockpit
The seats, center console and door panels are trimmed in red leather. The lower portion of the center armrest, which sports the Corvette logo, is decorated with Fellows' autograph as well as a serial number to identify this limited-production car. Ours was number 341.
A complete success
The Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Ron Fellows Edition is certainly worth the $101,000 price GM is asking for it. In my opinion, this machine is a pretty rare species that will only get more valuable as time goes by. If I had this kind of money, I would buy it for its amazing looks and driving experience. Kudos to GM, who just proved that bling-bling is not necessary to create outstanding cars; it's all a matter of taste and class.
