In an interview with British magazine Autosport, BMW’s director of motorsport Mario Theissen said the car manufacturer will enter six cars in the DTM in 2012.
Theissen, who will be replaced by Jens Marquandt next year, also announced that BMW was in talks with drivers who are outside their current motorsport programs.
Theissen also explained that the new M3 DTM could hit the track in May, 2011.
BMW will be back in DTM following a 20-year break.
