With Kamui Kobayashi in a leading role and Sergio Perez fresh out of GP2, Sauber will file the least experienced drivers' line-up of the 2011 grid.
This situation would worry most technical directors, but not Sauber's. James Key praises Kobayashi's efforts to meet the challenge of providing the team with pertinent technical feedback.
"Kamui is being very good. He's trying to assist as much as possible with our understanding the tires and the way that the car is responding and we have all agreed with him where we think the weaknesses lie that we need to work on next," Key told Autosport.
"Sergio is coming up to speed quickly with his understanding of things and he's beginning to make proactive comments rather than waiting to be asked," he said. "He's coming up with ideas and he discusses things in the garage, which at this stage is good."
"They are both doing their best and doing a good job at giving us decent feedback."
Experienced drivers Pedro de la Rosa and Nick Heidfeld both left the team at the end of 2010.
Hispania Racing Team could steal the "least experienced line-up" title from Sauber depending on the driver they select to accompany Narain Karthikeyan in his 2011 role.
