Marco Wittmann will start from pole position ahead of Antonio Felix Da Costa at the start of the Macau Grand Prix.
Wittmann took the pole away from Roberto Merhi in the last seconds of the qualiying session, after both drivers were involved in a great battle during the session. Merhi, who finally classified in second position, will have to drop down to seven places on the grid, after he was penalized for having caused an accident with Felix Rosenqvist on Thursday’s qualifying session.
Antonio Felix Da Costa, third best performance, will move up to the first row of the grid alongside Wittmann. Valtteri Bottas will start from inside row 2. The Finn just arrived from his Abu Dhabi F1 tests with Williams and was quickly in the pace. He will start alongside Alexander Sims.
