Team Signature announced that it will not take part to this year’s F3 Euroseries championship. A retirement that put the serie in trouble.
The french squad, which clinch the title in 2010 with Edoardo Mortara, was supposed to run two Dallara-Volkswagen.
But, after 21 years of presence in F3 (first in the french championship, then in the Euroseries), his boss Philippe Sinault announced that Signature will stop – for this season at least – its F3 programme in order to focus on its involvment in the World Endurance Championship, where Signature will contest in the LMP2 category with an Oreca 03-Nissan.
This withdrawal is a big shock for the F3 Euroseries, while only eleven cars are on the entry list, one month before the opening round in Hockenheim.
