IndyCar regular Justin Wilson has fully recovered from the season-ending back injury he sustained at Mid-Ohio in August 2011.

Wilson therefore reintegrated Michael Shank Racing’s driver line-up for the Daytona 24 hours – at which the Briton is set to make his race combeack.

It was an off during free practice at Mid-Ohio, in early August that injured Wilson. The impact between the car and the bump it hit while on the grass peaked at 75g.

"It's great to be back," Wilson said on Autosport.com.

"I did a couple of laps [yesterday] morning in the car [the Daytona Prototype he will share with AJ Allmendinger, Ozz Negri and John Pew], which was my first time in the new Riley and it felt great so I'm cautiously optimistic about what we can do and hopefully it's going to play out well for us."
