Performance tires for 2024
At Auto 123, we usually stick to appraising tires for popular passenger vehicles. But with so many models now getting their own so-called performance versions, we'd like to recommend some tires that stand out on the market.
Michelin Pilot
Among these, we have to mention the Michelin Pilot, a reliable and above all high-performance tire available in several versions (including EVs). If your vehicle is already fitted with Michelin Pilots and they're starting to wear out, there's no substitute for a new set of Pilots, to be honest.
Goodyear Eagle Exhilarate
The American manufacturer Goodyear has quite a reputation in motor racing. It excels in various categories of the sport, especially NASCAR. For the road and for performance cars, we present a specific Eagle range, including the very recent Exhilarate, which is nothing less than the replacement for the F-1.
No, it's not a racing tire, but a genuine touring tire for performance cars! Even as a replacement tire...
Bridgestone Potenza
The Potenza range is to Bridgestone what the Eagle range is to Goodyear. There are several Potenza sizes to suit all kinds of performance cars, from the simple Mustang to the most elaborate Porsche. It's obviously aimed at higher budgets, but it's well worth the money. Bridgestone released a new Sport AS version this year.
Pirelli P Zero
This is perhaps the tire that convinced many enthusiasts of lower-end performance cars of their capabilities. It gave them unsuspected roadholding. However, it does have one small flaw: a tendency to wear out a little faster...perhaps because drivers have found qualities in it that they don't want to stop experimenting with. New this year is the AS Plus 3 version.
Motomaster Performance Edge
This year's surprise! This performance tire is aimed at drivers who don't necessarily have the means to pay the high price of a very high-end tire.

We tested it with great satisfaction on Mustangs on the race track. The surprise? They come from a manufacturer ... Chinese. Motomaster, a Canadian Tire brand, has entrusted Sailun (a Chinese company also established in Canada) with the design of its Motomaster Performance Edge.
A product worth considering...
