As reported just before the holidays, Lexus will add a new F performance model to its lineup, namely the much-anticipated GS F sedan. It will be revealed at the North American International Auto Show on Tuesday, Jan. 13th at 8:40 a.m. EST in the Lexus display at Cobo Center in Detroit.
Based on the GS 350 F SPORT, the new Lexus GS F houses a naturally aspirated 5.0L V8 engine that produces a remarkable 467 hp at 7,100 rpm and peak torque of 389 lb-ft at 4,800-5,600 rpm. It's mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission with manual mode, as well as Lexus’ innovative Torque Vectoring Differential (TVD) which features three operating modes: Standard, Slalom, and Track.
Pricing and market availability for the GS F have yet to be announced.
