The new Ford Escape will hit the road in 2012, offering a choice of three 4-cylinder mills teamed up with a 6-speed autobox: A renewed 2.5L (168 hp, 167 lb-ft) for the base version; a 1.6L EcoBoost (173 hp, 177 lb-ft); and a 2.0L EcoBoost (237 hp, 250 lb-ft)*.

Buyers will also have the option of including a new Ford Intelligent 4WD System (the base versions will still feature FWD).

And with 971 litres of cargo space behind the second row of easy-fold seats, the 2013 Ford Escape will be more spacious than the current model.

Active Park Assist, a Blind Spot Information System, power liftgate, and MyFord Touch will also be making appearances in Ford’s latest number.
