If it had not been for Tony Stewart's win (Chevy No 80), the first race of the NASCAR Nationwide 2009 season could very well had been a carryover from last year's season.

Indeed, at the end of the 120-lap race held Saturday afternoon at the Daytona International Speedway, all the other players were the same as last year's.

Proof positive, runner-up was Carl Edwards (Ford No 60), who ended up second in the Championship last year, third was Clint Bowyer (Chevrolet No 29), last year's champ, and fourth was Kyle Busch (Camry No 18), who  finished sixth in the 2008 Championship even though he did not participate to all the races.

Young sensation Joey Logano (Camry No 20) finished 13th at Daytona while Canadian D.J. Kennington (Dodge No 81) did one of his best performances with an 18th place.

We are left if one question after this first race; will 2009 be a repeat of 2008?
