Canadian race car driver Patrick Carpentier is likely to contest the NAPA Auto Parts 200 in Montreal, round of the NASCAR Nationwide series late August on circuit Gilles Villeneuve.
According to Ruefrontenac.com, the former IndyCar driver will be driving the NAPA-sponsored No. 00 Toyota of Michael Waltrip Racing, the team he drove for last year.
Carpentier is looking forward to scoring his maiden win in NASCAR. He was in running strongly in Montreal last year until he selected the wrong gear while downshifting, damaging the V-8 engine.
