Our friends at Italiaracing.net reported Tuesday that web site rallyemotion posted a story about Robert Kubica who had apparently driven a Skoda Fabia rally car recently.
The Polish Formula 1 driver for Renault was badly injured in a nasty rally accident 13 months ago in Italy. His right arm and hand were severely damaged. Just last week, former F1 driver Jaime Alguersuari said on the BBC that he had heard that Kubica's right arm was not fully operational and the driver could not even hold a glass in his right hand. Italiaracing is right in saying that the physical state of Kubica remains a real mystery. The Pole is said to have driven a Skoda Fabia rally car last Thursday in Rovegno, Liguria. Rallyemotion posted a video that consists in a series of still photos of Kubica. Note that the video never shows Kubica sitting in the car and do not show the car in action. However, let's hope that the recovery process is right on track and we look forward to Robert's return in Formula 1 soon.
