2) Nissan Qashqai
Compared to the Hyundai Kona, the Nissan Qashqai is definitely less popular with 18,526 units sold in Canada in 2019, but that doesn't make it a bad choice. For sure, the driving pleasure it provides isn't as great, but for buyers in this category, that detail doesn't matter much. In fact, the Qashqai is very roomy, economical at the pump and relatively comfortable for an affordable vehicle.
Take note that the Qashqai doesn’t exist as such in the United States, the Nissan brain-trust there having decided that pronouncing the word Qashqai would be problematic for many consumers. The model thus goes by the name Rogue Sport south of the border.
