4- Aston Martin V8 Vantage

In truth, this car is not new. It has been around since 2005 but even so, it still makes my head turn when I see one. In this case, this Sunburst Yellow example with Sport Package is especially stunning and pure if you know what I mean. Never a slouch, this Brit's got it where it counts: a 420 hp 4.7L V8 capable of sprint times to 100 km/h in only 4.9 seconds.

5- Mercedes Benz SLS AMG

Recently reviewed by our own Bertrand Godin, this super-Gullwing ultra-sexy Merc à la AMG is a sight to behold in person. Its 6.2L V8 is derived from all 63AMG cars but when the doors go up instead of out, it puts out 563 hp and 480 lb-ft of torque. This allows the AMG SPEEDSHIFT DCT 7-speed Getrag dual-clutch semi-automatic transmission to propel the portly 1,620 kg (3,563 lb) car to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds and reach a top speed of just under 200 mph.

6- Porsche 911 GT3RS

My knees are weak, I'm shaking, have you ever seen such a car? The 911 GT3RS is about as hardcore as any street car should or could ever be. If you ever wondered, RS stands for Rennsport Motorsports. Although the RS carries the same 3.6-litre flat-six with 415 horsepower and 300 pound-feet of torque as the lesser GT3, its slight performance boost (0-60 in 4 seconds vs 4.1) comes from its aerodynamically sculpted body and lightweight materials that bring weight down by 44 pounds.
