DEARBORN, Mich. — Visteon Corporation (NYSE: VC) today announced that it has secured a contract to supply its MACH® 1000 Audio System to Ford Motor Company's 2002 Mustang sports car.

Visteon's MACH® 1000 Audio System is a high-performance sound system that maximizes decibel value per dollar. The system provides 1000-watts of performance with an extremely high sound pressure level that actually can be felt with extremely low distortion. Other benefits of the sound system are: lower power requirements, aftermarket output levels at OEM quality and integration levels, and an attractive high-tech design and visual appearance.

"This contract demonstrates our ability to provide targeted product solutions to our customers," said Ed Riehl, Director for Visteon's Mustang Customer Business Unit. "We're very excited to supply Ford with a sound system that was designed and manufactured to OEM standards, which are typically more robust than those designed in the consumer electronics market."

Visteon's MACH® brand audio system was first introduced in October 2000 at Convergence, however the MACH® 1000 Audio System is making its debut on a production vehicle with the 2002 Mustang — which helps support the vehicle's image of a muscle car with attitude that frees the soul.
