After he drove a Ford Fiesta S2000 this season, Ott Tanak will contest the complete World Rally Championship in a Fiesta RS WRC in 2012.
The young Estonian, who is backed by fellow countryman, former WRC driver Marko Martin since his debuts in rallying, was first rumored to join Jari-Matti Latvala in the Ford factory team, before Petter Solberg was hired for next season.
Finally, Tanak, who already drove a Fiesta WRC at the Wales Rally GB, and then at the Rallye du Var (last round of the French Rally Championship), will be at the start of every WRC rounds in 2012. Tanak will drive for the Ford “B” team.
He will probably be sponsored by tire manufacturer DMACK, the company which is about to make its debuts in WRC.
