Chevrolet dominated the qualifying sessions in Macao, as Rob Huff set the pole ahead of teammates Yvan Muller and Alain Menu.
Yvan Muller has already been awarded the 2010 drivers championship before the last venue as the FIA excluded the BMW from Okayama's race results over an illegal gearbox usage.
The constructors championship, however, is still on.
The qualifying session was quite chaotic this week-end as it needed to be interrupted Friday afternoon when night fell and was again delayed on Saturday morning.
When it was finally resumed, Chevrolet put on a strong performance and secured 1-2-3 in Q2. Tiago Monteiro took 4th position with his Seat Leon.
Darryl O’Young (Chevrolet Lacetti) set the best performance of the independent drivers with a 9th place.
