Paolo Andreucci (Peugeot 207) wins Rally San Remo, round 10 of the Intercontinental Rally Challenge.
Kris Meeke (Peugeot 207) was the first leader on Friday, but the reigning champion was overtaken by Andreucci in the afternoon, until Giandomenico Basso (Abarth Punto) moved up to the lead after the final stage of the day thanks to a good choice of tires. Andreucci took the lead back in the very first stage of Saturday, before Basso dropped down in order after transmission troubles. Juho Hanninen (Skoda Fabia) had a very impressive performance on the last day. The Finn started with a 40 seconds handicap on Saturday morning, and finally finished 4,4 seconds behind Andreucci at the finish. Hanninen missed the victory for nothing but get closer to the title in Italy Kris Meeke and Freddy Loix (Skoda Fabia) had a great battle for third, with the belgian finally took last podium position after his win in the very last stage.
