AJ Foyt Racing has confirmed that 33-year-old
Vitor Meira will be back with the team for the upcoming 2011 IndyCar season.
It will be the third year of the Brazilian with the Foyt's squad. In 2009, his season was cut short due to a severe accident at the Indianapolis 500. He finished 12th in the drivers championship.
Needless to say that long-time sponsor
ABC Supply will also be back with Foyt for another run.
Meira has been an IndyCar regular since 2002, and was a regular frontrunner with the Rahal Letterman and Panther teams in the middle of the decade. He is yet to secure a win in the series.
