Ford and M-Sport will travel to Sardinia in the next days to test their new Fiesta RS WRC car fitted with a current Focus RS, 2-litre motor.
For months, Ford’s rival Citroen has been testing its new DS3 model with a C4 WRC engine. The Ford Fiesta is due to run on rough gravel stages on the Italian island to collect data on how the chassis and transmission will deal with the kind of power and torque levels produced by the new 1.6-litre turbocharged engine. Ford, like Citroen, is not expected to have the new 1.6-litre turbocharged engine ready to run in the car until the end of the summer. Recent Articles
