6 - The touchpad

Even as Lexus vehicles have offered us a lot of innovations and interesting features over the years, they’ve also driven users a little batty with an overly complex multimedia system that was anything but simple to access via a touchpad on the centre console. In fact, it was almost guaranteed to annoy, mainly because its responsiveness was so vague and imprecise.

Well, that's over. With the 2022 NX and other new upcoming Lexus products, we'll see a more conventional, on-screen touch approach. Some controls will remain button-operated, fortunately, like the climate and audio controls.
