Those looking to purchase a used Hyundai will be glad to know that the used Korean vehicle of their dreams could be covered by a 10-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty.
If the vehicle you are coveting is 5 years old or less, has travelled 60,000 miles or less and has passed a 150-point inspection, it will be covered by this warranty. The 10-year period begins the moment that the vehicle was put into service, the same goes for the mileage.
This warranty also includes roadside assistance, rental car coverage (up to $35/day for up to 10 days), towing coverage (up to $75 per occurrence), travel breakdown coverage (up to $375 per occurrence) and perhaps best of all, these cars will be eligible for new-car financing rates through Hyundai Motor Financing Company.
Unfortunately, this program is only available in the United States. We can only imagine the impact this could have in Canada if Hyundai would do the same for us northerners. Used Accents and Elantras are already hugely popular here. This type of incentive would move many a Tucson, Santa Fe and Sonata.
