But in the end if you want a Talon, especially in TSi trim, you're not going to care as much about reliability as you do about performance. Talons are endowed with a great deal of talent on dry or wet, paved or dirt road surfaces, offering a rarified level of traction few modern cars can emulate. No wonder there are lineups to get hold of one despite prices for TSi models still reaching near $20,000.

Model year 1998 marked final production, a year in which the Talon was the sole model representing the Eagle brand. As most expected, Eagle was gone in 1999. But its sole continues on in the hearts of Talon TSi enthusiasts across North America. A more appropriate epitaph couldn't be said.
