In the event that an accident occurs the CR-V's new safety features come to play. First and foremost is a stiffened body structure, designed to meet future NHTSA 5-star crash standards. Other safety features include dual stage front airbags, optional side airbags with occupant-position sensors, front seatbelt pre-tensioners, a passive whiplash protection system and a center rear head restraint.

While prices have increased from 2% on base LE models and 5% for the high-line EX it's a small price to pay for the much improved SUV. It's roomier, more powerful, includes more standard and optional features and is decidedly better looking than the outgoing model. That's a tall order happily filled by any Honda dealer.
