The front passenger seat is 6-way power adjustable.
A safety technology shared with the LS 430 is the whiplash-injury-lessening front seats. The upper seatback frame of the new ES 300 is designed to help absorb the upper back of the occupant into the seatback, while the headrest is positioned to help reduce the rearward movement of the occupant's head in a rear impact collision.
Value added to both the Luxury and Premiums packages includes a power rear sunshade which retracts automatically when the transmission is shifted into reverse plus two-level heated seats, a one-touch power moonroof, High-Intensity Discharge (HID) headlights and rain-sensing windshield wipers.
The 2002 ES 300 will appear in Lexus showrooms in October, 2001.
