Negatives? My only beef concerns the audio system. Shouldn't a CD player come standard? Even then how about a multi-disc dash unit instead of the single-disc dash player, currently optional?
In summary, the Passat is a car that has to be experienced to be fully appreciated. Most competitors include comparable features while there are many with similar or better performance stats. But like so many things in life, simple stats don't communicate the big picture. Overall, the Passat blends luxury features, superior build quality and all-out performance to make it look and feel like a premium European sedan at a fraction of the price.
