The Arnage R includes the requisite but optional burled walnut folding picnic tables on the back of the front seats, but now makes optional heated cushions and lumbar support available to keep rear occupants as comfortable as those up front - as if the chauffeur should receive better attention than the owner?
The Arnage R's chassis is purportedly much improved for sporting maneuvers over the relaxed and comfortable Red Label version, adding 10% more rigidity without detracting from the ride quality. Bentley engineers accomplished this by strengthening its front bulkhead, rocker panels, wheel arches and roof. Also adhesive bonding compliments welds on specific chassis components, adding stiffness. While improving handling, tightening up its overall structure has also reduced noise, vibration and harshness (NVH) levels, also benefited by new hydraulic engine and transmission mounts.

While to most the name Bentley doesn't automatically associate images of handling prowess, at least to those who haven't driven one of the previous Turbo R models or current Ts, the Arnage R should be quite athletic thanks to its fully independent double wishbone suspension front and rear. Its steering now offers better feel and quicker response during turn-in than in previous examples too. So that ride quality wasn't interfered with, Bentley chose to set the springs and dampers softer than in previous iterations, allowing more comfortable cruising. Then by adding a thicker diameter front stabilizer bar and a new rear anti-roll bar, a first for this chassis, handling is improved - a simple but effective solution. While optional 18-inch 6-spoke chromed alloy rims or optional 5-spoke painted or chromed alloys of the same diameter are available, the standard 18-inch aluminum wheels wrapped in P255/50ZR18 tires should be sufficient for optimizing performance.
