Of course, getting that tank filled up is another thing. If you think finding a diesel station is hard, the only hydrogen refueling stations around are in Washington, DC, Los Angeles, Detroit and Germany. Others are currently being planned but don't hold your breath for a hydrogen infrastructure anytime soon.
Fortunately the major oil retailers are stepping up to the plate and working alongside Ballard and the various automakers researching the technology. This means that an infrastructure is in the works and fuel costs will come down, eventually.
