At first glance $41,000 seems quite steep, especially for a Honda. It's not that a Honda shouldn't be technically worthy forty large, the breathtaking S2000 has proven that point, but it's just that I've never thought of Honda and luxury sport utilities in the same sentence. In actuality, the Pilot represents good value when compared to similar vehicles from GM, Ford, Jeep and Dodge, as well as its import competition. Most of these include less functionality for at least as much money, or more in some instances.

All in all, Honda has created a formidable SUV. It can shuttle more people than the majority of minivans and haul more cargo than most other vehicles in its class. It handles corners well and doesn't leave you flat in the passing lane.
