Just like the F1 car, and the XJ220, the FX 10 receives a mid-engine layout, enhancing weight distribution and overall balance. Large diameter disc brakes, clamped down on by 6-piston Brembo calipers, are easily visible behind huge 21-inch alloy wheels - an impressive sight.

"The XF10 is basically an Enzo for Jaguar," commented Himmel. "Although it's primarily a racer, it also has a fair degree of driver comfort. You could say its styling and refinement make it more of a gentleman's car than the Ferrari."

Gentleman's car maybe so, but it hardly pays homage to a gentlemen's club. A panoramic glass roof sheds light on its lavishly high-tech interior. Red leather seats and trim is highlighted by brushed aluminum accents, elegantly appointed while brazenly utilitarian - in a let's get down to driving kind of way.
This is especially true with the motorsport style steering wheel, complete with its flattened circle design and push-button shift controls. Centrally located instruments simplify the dash arrangement, with temperature controls set into the center stack actuated via telematics - cool. The XF10 also features a roof mounted camera, ideal for perfecting that favorite series of apexes. It replays on an LCD monitor built into the dash.
