Keep turning the pages and a variety of enticing photos lure the reader in deeper with a final black two page spread reading, "Now the bad news." While I was half expecting the following page to say, "You can't afford it and never will be able to," it actually read, "You can't buy it..." and then one more page, "YET." Even my ninth grade girlfriend was less of a tease.
Call it what you may but it sounds as if this concept could become a production Lamborghini Roadster sometime soon. It would be a shame if it didn't as it was one of the Detroit show's highlights, a true high performance exotic in an event that spent most of its time wallowing between gargantuan limousines and feather light hybrids.
Will it make a difference in the grand automotive landscape? Probably not, at least for the vast majority of us who don't play profession sports, but for those so well endowed a Lamborghini Murciélago Roadster would be a great reason for driving the long way to the ball park. And with no roof it could even fit a 6' 11" Chicago White Sox pitcher Jon Rauch.
