A coupe variation will be available in the new year looking quite distinct from the sedan. It will feature Saturn's rear access door system (RAD) with no B-pillar but unlike the previous model the doors will be featured on both sides. The quad coupe will also feature an optional VTi variable transmission.
The ION sedans frisky take-me-home-tonight styling and bevy of big-car features may be irresistible to current owners of the polymer plastic paneled S-series, but will it be capable of luring Toyota Corolla and Honda Civic buyers away from their trusty transportation? Just by looks alone it should do a much better job than the previous model. But that's not all. The all-new model starts at only $10 more than last year's car. Saturn could very well be on an upswing.
