The compact engine has allowed for increased front leg room and subsequently more room overall. Headroom is also excellent considering the cars raked windshield, and despite its rather tall seat height. Bentley borrowed a packaging cue from SUV designers by incorporating higher seat cushions, which in turn allows a relatively short fore to aft cabin area to produce spacious legroom. To make sure its interior dimensions were appropriate for its rather wealthy clientele, Bentley sent technicians to New York to custom fit a few NBA forwards. A smart idea as they most likely inked a few orders in the process.

Size, of course, isn't all that matters. Superior craftsmanship is also a legendary Bentley trademark. Of course hand-laid wood veneers and painstakingly hand-stitched stitched leather make up the majority of interior surfaces. What would normally be an odd mixture of British gentleman's club luxury and German technologically sophisticated efficiency works splendidly in the GT.

Its 355-L (12.5 cu ft) trunk is not large by luxury sedan standards but quite reasonable for a coupe, and should be easily capable of a weekend's stowage. Bentley increased its size by dropping the 90-L (23.8 gallon) fuel tank under the floor instead of the usual rear bulkhead position, between the rear seats and the trunk. The additional benefit is a rear pass-through capable of hauling otherwise awkward, long items such as skis and snowboards. Bentley also made certain two golf bags fit neatly in the curvaceous trunk as well.

Curvaceous lines on a Bentley? It's easily the sleekest design the Crewe firm has ever created, paying homage to the flowing lines of the much sought after 1950s Bentley Continental R. A fresh attitude and a decent dose of new money have resulted in a positively racy exterior. Its traditional four headlamps surround an unconventionally swept back, but still large and imposing Bentley grille. Its deep front fascia incorporates an integrated bumper and gaping ventilation ports for brake and engine cooling. The rear fenders are animal-like, appearing as a cat's haunches ready to pounce, not unlike Aston Martin's Vanquish but more subtle in execution. They're capped with large, attractive tail lamps that flank a graceful trunk and elegantly rakish rear window and roofline. Overall, it's gorgeous.
