Cadillac has fittingly enhanced the stock CTS interior to suit the V's more sporting image. A modified gauge package gets satin chrome edged dials, the surfaces of which feature traditional white numbering on black backgrounds for easier legibility, with a speedometer that incidentally displays 180 mph. Performance fans will appreciate the deletion of the analog clock, replaced by a much more useful analog temperature gauge.

Cadillac has also integrated its driver information center (DIC) into the instrument cluster, making it easier to view while driving. While regular trip computer information is available, the system also features performance information such as peak and momentary lateral acceleration, oil, transmission and coolant temperatures, as well as tire pressure.

It looks as if Cadillac may have modified its standard CTS issue 3-spoke steering wheel, which would be a good thing. Although the stock item looks the part, thumb placement is ergonomically incorrect and not befitting a car with the CTS-V's sporting character. The new steering wheel seems to be a better design, though without sitting in the driver's seat I can't say for sure. Either way it looks terrific, with an aluminum bezel and uncluttered ancillary equipment buttons.
