Choose the Sport model and you'll get a trick air suspension as standard equipment. While improving both the ride and handling yet further, it also gives driver and passengers the option multiple ride heights, three to be exact, optimized for a range of different conditions. The lowest, 30 mm (1.2 in) lower than the standard height, makes the truck look California cool, the low rider effect, but in actual fact is an 'Access' mode used for getting in and out with ease. While driving at highway speeds in 'Normal' mode the RX Sport does lower though, but only by 7 mm (0.3 in), improving handling and aerodynamics. If you want it lower still press a button to a maximum, or should I say minimum of 15 mm (0.6 in). When the wild calls click the switch the other way to pump the SUV up 30 mm (1.2 in) in the other direction, raising ground clearance in the process.

Of course there are few technologies that assist the handling process of a large vehicle as well as four-wheel drive. The RX 330's system is similar to the old RX 300's, incorporating a center differential to split power 50/50 front to back. But where the outgoing model uses a viscous coupling in its center diff, the RX 330 makes use of Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) and Traction Control (TRAC) to combat tire slippage. This electronic wizardry reduces the new 4WD system's weight while simultaneously lowering NVH levels (noise, vibration and harshness) due to its more linear layout.
