On the outside, visual cues such as the Rover V8 grille and dual, chrome-tipped exhausts give hints that the vehicle

While producing the 75 Coupe would be relatively easy for MG-Rover, it's more likey the MG GT concept will be built first. (Photo: MG-Rover)
might feature the rear-wheel drive and V8 powertrain combo from the Rover V8/MG ZT 260, but the car could also be built as a lower-power inline-four- and V6-powered front-wheel drive machine, like most 75s.

Considering MG-Rover's financial state and the low demand for midsize premium coupes, the vehicle will most likely be built in the RWD format - that is, if it gets the green light at all. Though the design is simple enough to be manufactured easily, the bottom line is that MG-Rover bosses are more likely to give the go-ahead to MG-Rover's other recent concept, the MG GT, a hardtop coupe version of the popular TF roadster.

Neither will matter much to Canadians, however, as MG-Rover doesn't sell cars here anymore. The last time it did, Rover went by the name Sterling, selling a car that was synonymous for problems with quality despite its Acura Legend roots. While Rover might be a hard sell in North America, resurrecting the MG brand on this side of the Atlantic might be a smart business decision.
