There are no changes to the 2005 Coupe and Spyder's 4.2-L, 32-valve, DOHC V8, however, still featuring a larger displacement derivative of Ferrari's 360 Modena V8 with 390-horsepower and 330 lb-ft of torque. In last year's car it was good for a zero to 100 km/h sprint of about 4.9 seconds in coupe form, which is considerably quick given the luxury appointments that weigh this Maserati down.

A new color has been added to the Coupe/Spyder's extensive portfolio called "Rame Ghibli," a light crystal-blue metallic; this might be the biggest giveaway factor to identifying the new Coupe and Spyder as it should be quite popular.
Maserati has announced that both vehicles will reach dealer showrooms by September, although a price has yet to be finalized. It is expected that like the previous minor update, the increase will be either marginal or there won't be any increase at all, as no mechanical changes have been made.
