"As creator of cars Pininfarina has been making our dreams come true for 75 years. Louis Vuitton is very pleased to contribute to the Enjoy project with all its know-how in the design field," added Yves Carcelle, Chairman of Louis Vuitton.
But one last thing Louis. You weren't responsible for the lame name were you? Was it Andrea's idea? Just think about it for a second. After 75 years of creating some of the most beautiful cars in the world for the most prestigious of automakers, endowed with names such as Cisitalia, Aprilia, Flaminia, Duetto, Maranello, and Scaglietti (OK that last one was named after a famous designer who worked within the firm), Pininfarina's first proprietary car is called the Enjoy? OK, maybe a fluffy name like that would be acceptable if it was attached to a concept car debuting from a Japanese carmaker at the Tokyo auto show, but not from a respected Italian brand. Lose the name Pininfarina.
In the end, Pininfarina will build 75 Enjoys as previously mentioned, with an undisclosed price tag. Being that this is a historically celebratory vehicle with a very limited production run, however, if you must ask the price it's not for you.
